Installation

The unit does not work.
Turn off the unit. Insert the SIM card in a mobile phone and set the password to ’1234′. Test with a text message to or from another mobile phone at the installation area.
Return the SIM card to the unit. Turn on the unit.
Send a text message: ’1234 OK’. The unit will answer with: ’1234 OK SQ: xx%’. If SQ is less than 25%, install an external antenna.

The unit ‘beeps’ every 15 sec. and does not send an alarm?
The SIM card can have a wrong PIN code in relation to the unit. Turn off the unit. Insert the SIM card in a mobile phone and set the password to ’1234′ (PUK may be necessary).
Return the SIM card to the unit. Turn on the unit.

What does it mean that the red LED is lit?

If the red LED lamp is lit, it means that the unit either has received an instruction and is ready to perform it, or that it is about to send an alarm.
The unit starts up, sends 4 ‘beeps’ and flashes immediately after.

The unit does not communicate with the SIM card.
Check that the card points the right way – with the cut-off corner in the top right (the text on the card is usually turned upside down).
